Sunday drive on Canada Road

Jonathan took us on a "Driving Miss Daisy" trip Sunday afternoon.  We drove in his neat hybrid car in the Eastern foot hills of Gilroy on Canada Road.  Just five miles away is this bucolic wonderful valley is another world.  We saw deer, hawks, cattle and wild turkeys.  It was a lovely and very enjoyable afternoon.  Josh and Julia came along too.  The week before Jonathan got some striking shots of a fox family in the same area!

Exodus

Lance and Danielle left most of their household goods in storage in Monterey and stuffed the rest (including three cats) in their car, as you can see!  They stopped by our house on April 11, 2012 to say goodbye.  Lance flew to Texas the next morning, leaving Danielle with her family in Antioch until Lance returns in August.

Jonathan was busy taking pictures while Anna and Justin relaxed on our patio.  Anna expects their baby boy in May!  She hopes to finish teaching before the stork arrives!

After church we had a massive egg hunt in our back yard. While the little kids and teens hunted eggs Jessica, Jean and Jane made egg salad sandwiches for 18 people!  They really tasted good!
The table is all set and ready for our 2012 Easter dinner at Jon and Jan's.  We had every chair filled in the table that seats 20!

Lance is happy to have a diploma in his hand and the grueling classroom work behind him.  He is going to Texas for training, then to Korea in August or September.  Danielle is hoping to go with him. We have been to four graduations at DLI!  Lane, John Michael and Logan graduated from the Arabic course and Lance took another road in Korean studies.

Laura and Matt are proud parents and Danielle is a supportive wife in Lance's achievement.  Logan and Lance are now both graduates of DLI!

The family group poses for pictures after the ceremony.  I got a nice view of Monterey Bay as we looked out from the campus at the Presidio.

Introducing Charlotte Christian with and without glasses. She is the daughter of Rory and Jessica. She will be two years old this summer! We were having snacks during Grandma School.
